After a 2 hour drive from Leh we are onto the ice within minutes.

Our first camp is a half hour walk below this spectacular peak - it doesn't even have a name.
Lobsang - our leader, sirdar, guru, bread-maker and all round good guy. Nice jacket too. It's from Lhasa!
