A day just breathing and acclimatizing.
The glacier next to us was devoid of snow and was gleaming blue ice.
The view up to Everest was incredible. We could see the whole north-east ridge leading up to the pinnacles and joined by the north ridge leading up from the north col. Then in the distance - but only about 4 km. away - the summit itself.
