The 8 members of the Summit team head off towards the East Rongbuk and Advanced Base Camp (ABC).
The Swedish team of 4, Alex, Jesper, Gabriel & Thomas, and the UK 4 of Ceri, Conor, Ian & Peter. We planned to join them when we'd acclimatized.
As our acclimatization walk that day Lee, Nick & myself headed up onto the Rongbuk glacier.
Essentially it's aboy 15 km of rubble on ice and glacial lakes going right up to the bottom of the North Face. We only went a few km.
